The Tenders Board awards tenders and additional works worth more than 363 million Omani rials

The Tenders Board, in its fourth meeting of this year chaired by His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tenders Board, awarded a number of tenders and additional works complementary to development projects across various sectors, with a total value of OMR 363,254,106.

The works approved and awarded by the Board during the meeting included the supply of pharmaceutical products, vaccines, and serums to several government entities at a value of OMR 201,835,139; the development project of 18 November Road and Al Mouj Road valued at OMR 44,940,000; the supply of consumable surgical materials for the Ministry of Health valued at OMR 19,009,051; the provision of catering services and related works for Sultan Qaboos University students valued at OMR 17,536,486; and the development project of Khor Al-Battah in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate valued at OMR 16,057,166.

The approved works also included the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment at Sultan Qaboos University for two years valued at OMR 8,841,806; the dualization of the Empty Quarter Road (Phase One) in Al Dhahirah Governorate valued at OMR 8,396,371; the project for surveying and discovering fishery resources in the Sea of Oman and the Arabian Sea valued at OMR 7,821,693; the design and implementation of the Najm identity development project valued at OMR 5,759,459; and the construction of side slopes for the roads (Khadhrafi–Sarfait) and (Khadhrafi–Dalkout) in Dhofar Governorate valued at OMR 5,351,950.

The works further included the dualization of Al-Maamoura–Rizaat Street in Dhofar Governorate valued at OMR 4,297,466; the implementation of vocational and technical education in post-basic education (Grades 11 and 12) valued at OMR 3,773,600; the construction of the Sur Cultural and Youth Center valued at OMR 3,586,809; the provision of periodic maintenance for radiology equipment at the Royal Hospital valued at OMR 2,169,063; the implementation of the first package of energy efficiency projects for government buildings valued at OMR 1,861,899; the operation and development of the Oman Business Gateway valued at OMR 1,581,700; contracting for international news content services valued at OMR 824,380; and technical support services for radar systems of the Civil Aviation Authority valued at OMR 572,955.

The Board also approved facility management services for the Public Prosecution building in Al Irfan City valued at OMR 177,500; maintenance services for the brachytherapy system at the Royal Hospital valued at OMR 162,540; additional works for the project to construct and implement protections for wadi walls against flood erosion in Salalah valued at OMR 2,283,947; additional works for the tender related to catering services for the University Medical City valued at OMR 1,700,000; additional works for the tender related to cleaning and pest control services at Sultan Qaboos University valued at OMR 1,556,901; and additional works for the Aftalqout Viewpoint Development Project in Dhofar Governorate valued at OMR 1,129,411.

The Board further approved additional works for irrigation and landscaping services for the project to construct a drainage network on Sultan Qaboos Street in Al-Khuwayr valued at OMR 1,102,675; additional works under the agreement for the design and construction of a single carriageway linking Al-Safaiha village in Bahla to the Nizwa–Jabrin Road in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate valued at OMR 519,000; supplementary works for the project to repair damages caused by weather conditions in the wilayats of Saham and Al-Khaboura valued at OMR 199,991; additional works for consultancy services for the design and supervision of the Al-Aflaj Road project in Al-Mudhaybi valued at OMR 50,138; additional works for the tender to construct a dialysis unit at Al-Khaboura Health Complex in North Al Batinah Governorate valued at OMR 46,192; additional works for the hospital expansion project at Wadi Bani Khalid Hospital in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate valued at OMR 42,367; additional works for the road maintenance project in the wilayats of Muttrah and Muscat valued at OMR 40,305; and additional works for the tender related to the development, implementation, hosting, and support of the medical fitness examination system for the Ministry of Health valued at OMR 26,145.
